Ken Jeong receives star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Ken Jeong received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday, Variety reports.

Jeong is known for his appearances in shows like “Community” and movies like The Hangover. He has built a long career as a successful actor and comedian.

But before he was any of those things, Jeong was a doctor. He began performing regularly at the Improv after moving to Los Angeles, which helped him book several television appearances.

In a speech at his star unveiling ceremony, according to KYMA, Jeong thanked his fans for his support:

“I’m not the funniest guy in the world, I’m not the most talented guy and according to [Joel McHale], I’m not the tallest guy – but I’m the most grateful guy and I’m the most grateful person to my fans, to any audience member watching because at the end of the day you are putting bread on my table…you are letting me do what I love to do more than anything else in the world so from the bottom of my heart I can not articulate how much I think the fans and this is your star because you are my star. Thank you so much.”

Jeong also thanked his wife for his support.

Fellow actor Randall Park gave brief remarks at the ceremony.

“Ken also loves his comedy community, his medical community. He loves his country, he loves his city. He loves his beautiful family. The reason why I love Ken so much is because he’s also a great friend,” Park said per NBC Los Angeles.
