Angel Yin wins LPGA Thailand

Asian American golfer Angel Yin, 26, won her second LPGA title on Sunday, winning the Honda LPGA Thailand at Siam Country Club Pattaya Old Course.

According to NBC Sports, Yin, who is ranked no. 17 in the world rankings, finished the tournament 28-under 260. On Sunday, she shot a bogey-free round of 65 to earn the win after a close battle with Japanese rookie Akie Iwai.

“I wasn’t that comfortable because Akie shot 10 under the first day and this course is very gettable. So I just had to keep my head down,” said Yin, per NBC Sports.

This is Yin’s ninth season in the LPGA, Golf.com reports. She has previously won the Buick LPGA Shanghai in 2023.
