Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is reaching out to Asian voters in multiple languages in an effort to get out the vote.
The World Journal reports Biden released a statement in Chinese
“This year, we’ve seen the best of America carry us forward: heroic doctors, nurses, grocers, restaurant owners, essential workers–including so many Asian Americans,” he said in a statement written in Chinese.
“But we’ve also seen the worst: acts of hate against Asian Americans wrongly blamed for COVID-19, spurred on, in part, by hateful rhetoric from President Trump. They’ve been screamed at, spit on, and assaulted. Homes, businesses, and cars vandalized with slurs. Small children stabbed. An 89-year-old grandmother set on fire amid this rising culture of hate.
“This is not who we are.”
You can read the full statement in both Chinese and English in the World Journal.
Viet Bao reports Biden also released a statement in Vietnamese.
“I’ve fought my entire career for immigrants, for small business owners, for hard-working women and men across this country, including Vietnamese Americans, who are looking for a fair shot to make a better life for their families. That’s who built this country. And that’s who I’ll fight for every day as President,” Biden said.
You can read the entire statement in both Vietnamese and English in Viet Bao.
The Democrat has also released digital translated in 9 different Asian languages including Tagalog, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Hindi, Tamil, Punjabi, Gujurati, and Hmong, according to India New England.
Asian American voters can make the difference in battleground states which could help decide the election.

Just checking – I hope in his pursuit of Asian Americans, Joe Biden has not left out the Khmer. Cambodians – an important community. As one who has just published a book partly about Cambodia…https://tinyurl.com/y4qnztqa please tell me the Khmer have not been ignored. Under Trump a number of Khmer have been forced back to Phnom Penh by ICE!
