A man was almost hit by a car and then shot at in Chicago’s Chinatown on Friday evening.

According to Fox 32 Chicago, the shooting occurred in the 2300 block of South Wentworth.

Around 8:31 p.m., a 34-year-old man was almost hit by a silver sedan while crossing the street, CBS News Chicago reports. The man got into an argument with the woman driving the car about the incident.

That’s when another man stepped out of the car from the passenger seat and fired several shots at the 34-year-old. The gunman got back into the car, which drove off south on Wentworth Avenue. None of the gunshots hit the man attempting to cross the street.

Chinatown was rocked by gun violence earlier in the month. A shooting on July 1 left two people injured and killed a 24-year-old woman. According to ABC 7 Chicago, police have released surveillance footage of the shooter. They are asking for the public’s help to find him.

No one is in custody for Friday’s shooting.
