Police in Houston on Monday announced the arrest of a second man in the cold-blooded murder of two people sitting at a Vietnamese restaurant, reports the Houston Chronicle.
Prosecutors charged Hieu Trong Ngueyn, 49, with capital murder in connection with the October 5th homicides. His arrest follows that of Bich Xuan Dang by the SWAT team during an hour-long standoff at his apartment on October 16, according to ABC13.
Both men are accused of entering the Tai Loi Restaurant on October 5 and opening fire along with at least one other person who remains at large. Authorities have no motive for the shooting.
The Houston Chronicle reports Dang had previously been a suspect in an extortion plot at another restaurant about two miles away from Tai Loi. Dang is accused of entering another Vietnamese restaurant, Cafe Window, and threatening to cause problems if he was not paid $1,000. Shortly after that, he shot the two men at Tai Loi.
The victims have been identified as Hahn Minh Nguyen, 63, and Long Nguyen, 51.
No name or description of a third suspect has been released.
