Third man charged for murder of Dallas community leader

Police in Fort Worth, Texas arrested and charged a third man in the shooting death of Dallas community leader Jin Shin.

Quamon Deshun White was arrested on Jan. 1 and charged with murder for the death of Shin, Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.

Two others, Kameron Taylor and Markynn Dmorous West, were previously arrested in 2022 for their involvement in the Aug. 15 shooting. Both have been released on bond and are awaiting trial.

According to WFAA, the shooting occurred at the intersection of South University Drive and the Interstate 30 entrance ramp after a minor accident escalated to an argument.

An affidavit states that Shin was surrounded by eight people, attempting multiple times to return to his Jeep before eventually being shot by West.

Friends and family described Shin as “more than a pillar of the community,” Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported. A GoFundMe fundraiser was set up by friends to help Shin’s family with funeral and legal expenses. It has raised more than $100,000.
