Japan Times: American Prisoner in North Korea Kenneth Bae Hospitalized

Kenneth BaeAmerican Kenneth Bae who has been held prisoner by North Korea on  unspecified charges for nine months has been hospitalized, confirms the Swedish Embassy in North Korea.

The sister of Bae told the Japan Times that her brother is seriously ill and needs to come home after losing almost 51 pounds.

“He’s considerably weaker,” Terri Chung said. “There’s more urgency than ever to bring him home.”

She says her brother suffers from diabetes, as well as an enlarged heart and liver problems.
