Jeremy Lin helps team to historic win with triple-double

Jeremy Lin helped the New Taipei Kings to a historic victory in the P.LEAGUE+ on Sunday. According to Focus Taiwan, the Kings’ 109-93 win over the Kaohsiung 17LIVE Steelers marked the first time the team had won five games in a row.

Lin recorded 15 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. The 35-year-old has been enjoying his time with the team.

“Like Coach Ryan said, I can play quite a few different roles on this team,” Lin told Focus Taiwan.

Lin also gets to play with his little brother Joseph Lin. Matt Beyer, co-founder and CEO of East Asia Super League, called the on-court partnership “special.”

“It’s awesome to see them playing together. For the fans in Taipei to be witness to it was really special,” Beyer said in an interview with CNN.

“The fact that he’s returning to his ancestral homeland and playing with his brother – to see the evolution of his career from the NBA to across mainland China, and then going back to his parents’ place of origin.”
