Nearly a majority of Asian Americans believe the U.S. is “not supportive enough” of Palestine, a survey found.
The AAPI Data/A.P-NORC Poll found 50% of Asian Americans believe that.
The findings are in sharp contrast with the general population. Axios reports the AP-NORC poll in November revealed that only 31% of the general population holds that position. Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders appear to be more in line with the general population at 32%.

The findings could prove troublesome for President Biden’s support among younger Asian American voters. 62% of AAPIs 18-29 believe the U.S. support for Palestine is not enough compared to 39% of those over 60.

The AAPI Data AP-NORC poll also found just 30% of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders are very confident in their ability to keep up with their expenses. Only 19% say they are confident in finding a new job if they desired to.
