Jessica Pegula will miss the WTA 1000 events in Doha and Dubai because of a neck injury, WTA Tennis reports.
According to WTA Tennis, Pegula was runner-up at a 500-level event in Doha last year, finishing behind Iga Swiatek.
Pegula is currently ranked no. 4 in the world. Last month, she withdrew from the doubles competition of the Australian Open, after losing in the second round of the women’s singles competition.
Pegula is also the daughter of Buffalo Bills owners Kim and Terry Pegula. The WTA recently posted a clip of Pegula touring the Bills facilities.
