LA Chinatown shooting leaves victim in critical condition

Victim in critical condition following a shooting that occurred over the night in the Downtown Los Angeles Chinatown neighborhood.

Fox11 reported that around 2 a.m. on Thursday, the victim who is a man between 20 to 25-years-old was refused entry to a popular pub on Hill Street because he may have already been drunk.

He then walked across the street, where a green vehicle pulled up and opened fire, shooting the victim several times and at least striking him in the stomach once.

Somehow he managed to approach a security guard in front of Melody Lounge, reported ABC7, acting erratic and saying that he had been shot. He then ran to a nearby Shell Gas station where a clerk called 911.

Authorities will continue to investigate but said they could not locate evidence of shooting in the immediate area. It is unclear if the suspect and victim knew each other.
