While doing press for the fourth season of “Emily in Paris,” Ashley Park has been discussing her experience with septic shock late last year.
Park, who plays the best friend of the show’s titular character, revealed that she had gone into septic shock after a severe case of tonsilitisin December.
“Emily in Paris” began filming season 4 in January, while Park was still recovering. She joined production in the middle of February.
Filming was physically taxing in a way I hadn’t previously endured,” she said in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK.
At the premiere for the fourth season, Park told PEOPLE Magazine she has spent the summer continuing to recover.
“I’m trying to get my health back and be back on my feet as I am right now,” she said. “I’ve been gardening a lot.”
Park has expressed gratitude for the support she received from her family, friends and co-stars, including her boyfriend Paul Forman who she met on the set of “Emily in Paris.”
