Hari Sreenivasan, the new weekend anchor of the PBS News Hour, appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Wednesday night.
PBS was upfront when it named Sreenivasan to the broadcast saying its hope was that Hari would attract younger viewers.
They say if the viewers won’t come to you, you should go to the viewers. Thus Sreenivasan’s appearance on Comedy Central.
Hewas mentioning he immigrated to the United States when Stewart interrupted, “wait,you immigrated? (pause) And now you control our news? (pause) That’s my people’s job. (laughter) It’s a little back and forth ethnic humor.”
