Supporters of Mirai Nagasu aren’t letting up in their efforts to get the US Figure Skating Association to reverse its snub of the Asian American, reports Asiance.
As you likely know by now, Nagasu finished third in the Nationals, but was not selected to represent Team USA in either the Olympics or World competition.
This is the first time a skater who has placed at US Nationals has been passed over for the Olympics for reasons other than injury.
Supporters are asking people to show their support for Nagasu to be added to the Worlds by tweeting to @USFigureSkating under the hashtag #MiraitoWorlds or to send an email to U.S. Figure Skating President Patricia St. Peter at [email protected].
The Worlds are scheduled for March 24-30 in Saitama, Japan.
