Princeton’s campus paper the Daily Princetonian had a little fun at Harvard grad’s Jeremy Lin expense last night. The students staged a one on one playground match up between Princeton basketball alum Doug Davis against the Houston Rocket point guard. The match up attracted a large enthusiastic crowd, including some NBA big shots like announcer Marv Albert, former NBA players Reggie Miller and Charles Barkley and former Laker coach Phil Jackson.
Davis hung on to embarrass Lin 20 to 19. It was the fifth such encounter between the two players. “Davis thoroughly outclassed Lin, both on the perimeter and off the dribble,” TNT commentator Reggie Miller said. “This just proves that no matter how good Harvard thinks it is at everything, it will never be better than Princeton in basketball.”
It was part of the Daily Princetonian annual joke issue. And its not even April Fools. What will Harvard do to exact revenge?
