When I met Kevin Taejin Kreider in September, he spoke about his skateboarding trip across America and about his upcoming documentary, Kevin and His Skateboard.
The goal of his cross country journey on a Penny skateboard was simple. It was to forget that he was losing his hair and to take the time to figure things out as he struggled with an autoimmune disease called, “alopechia areata.” At the start of his journey, he set out to be an inspiration for others. However, he soon realized it would be the people he met across the country that would inspire him instead.
His story is documented in Kevin & His Skateboard. The film’s first trailer was released this week. The documentary is expected to be out in 2016, although no exact release date has been announced.
(story has been corrected to reflect the documentary is expected out next year)
RE: Trailer released for inspirational film, Kevin & his Skateboard: I was really touched by his story and I cannot wait to watch the documentary. Despite what he says his story and his trip is very inspiring! 🙂
