Two barracks have been reconstructed at the Manzanar National Historic Site in California and are now part of the permanent exhibit there.
The Manzanar Committee says the barracks will give visitors a better idea of the personal experiences of 10,000 Japanese Americans imprisoned on the site during World War II. Included in the exhibition are 42 oral history clips.
The exhibition opened in time for next weekend’s annual pilgrimage to Manzanar.
