Former UC Berkeley School of Law dean Sujit Choudhry has dropped his lawsuit against the University that he filed after his resignation over sexual harassment charges, reports the Daily Californian.
Choudhry, who was one of the few Indian American law deans in the country, had alleged UC racially discriminated against him and judged him more harshly than other employees facing similar accusations.
Choudhry’s executive assistant Tyann Sorrell accused him of unwanted hugs and kisses.
Last week, a judge denied a motion to end disciplinary hearings against Choudhry.
He retains the right to sue the university at a future date.
