Dramatic surveillance video shows a woman in St Paul being dragged 75 feet by a car through a parking lot in Hmong Village after a purse snatching.
KSTP reports the thief sneaked up from behind as Dia Lor put items in her trunk Sunday. The man grabbed Lor’s purse, then punched and dragged her.
“All I know is if I hold onto it longer the car could possibly run me over or I could possibly be injured elsewhere so I let go,” she said through a translator to KSTP.
She said she lost all the money she had saved up for Christmas, but escaped relatively uninjured.
There have at least been 20 purse snatchings in the area.
“We really need to find these people before someone is more seriously injured and we need the public’s help,” said Steve Linders, a St. Paul police spokesman, said to the Pioneer Press.
In all the cases, the suspects sneak up from behind and grab the purses. The suspects have ranged in age from 15 to 30.

RE: Woman dragged 75 feet by car in Hmong village purse snatching: Well, as they won’t state the race of these perps as it’s not the PC thing to do these days, it’s pretty safe to assume that it’s young black youths of Somalian or Ethiopian heritage. They ask for the public’s help in trying to track down these criminals but won’t ever state the race in their description of suspects. Go figure…
RE: Woman dragged 75 feet by car in Hmong village purse snatching: The rule of thumb is if you don’t have a complete description (height, weight, facial hair, color of hair etc), adding someone’s race doesn’t help identify someone. As you can see from the video, a description would be very difficult at this time. Your assumption is greatly misguided.
