Roommate arrested in death of graduate student in New Jersey

A 26-year-old Jersey City man is under arrest for the stabbing death of his roommate, reports NBC NY.

The Jersey City Police Department found the body of Yuting Ge on Saturday with multiple stab wounds. Ge was a graduate student at the Stevens Institute of Technology.

Authorities arrested Tong Cheng Monday at a hotel in Weehawken, New Jersey, according to Tap Into Jersey City. He shared an apartment with Ge and also graduated from the Stevens Institute.

The suspect faces charges of first degree murder, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes , and unlawful possession of a weapon.

There is no known motive at this time.
