It was the scene of one of Jeremy Lin’s most memorable games last year. Lin’s last second shot propelled the NY Knicks to an improbable win over Toronto and catapulted Linsanity into the atmosphere.
The Asian community in Toronto came out in full force Sunday for Lin’s return, with no less than 12 Chinese & Taiwanese groups in attendance, reported USA Today. You can expect more of the same tonight at Madison Square Garden in what will be Lin’s first game in New York since signing with the Houston Rockets.
The game has been highly hyped the the Garden is expected to be sold out. For Lin, he expects the game will bring closure and says he’s looking forward to it.
“I’m definitely ready to get it over with just because I think in some way there’ll be some closure,” said Lin. “There’ll never be another first return. We’re going to go out there, play and have some fun and enjoy it and move on.”
How long do you think the Asian American community will support Lin if he doesn’t return to the Linsanity of last year?
