The United States team consisting entirely of Indian Americans won the International Geography Bee competition, beating teams representing India and Canada, reports the Washington Post.
Neelam Sandhu, 14, of New Hampshire, Asha Jain, 13, of Wisconsin and Gopi Ramanathan, 15, of Minnesota took home the top prize in the competition held in St. Petersburg, Russia.
This is the sixth time in the last 11 years the United States has won the competition.
