UC Berkeley’s Bancroft Library has unveiled a new digital archive documenting the incarceration of Japanese Americans.
The Japanese American Evacuation and Resettlement Study Digital Archive (hate the name, why don’t they just call it summer camp?) includes 100,000 original manuscripts.
Among those items are personal narratives never before made public.
It also includes information about a work stoppage by boilermen at Minidoka in Southern Idaho.
You can find more information about this new archive at UC Berkeley.
