A new survey of college graduates from 2008 found Asian American college grads along with blacks are the most likely to be unemployed, reports the Huff Post.
Out of the 17,000 college grads questions, 11.9 percent of the Asian Americans surveyed said they were unemployed followed by 11.8 percent of blacks.
Next are Hispanics at 8.5 percent and whites at 5.5 percent.
On the positive side, Asian Americans surveyed had the highest average salary, $62,500. Their tendency to major in sciences, technology, engineering and math may have something to do with that. Those in STEM majors overall earned an average salary of $65,000, about $15,000 higher than non-STEM majors.
Whites earned an average salary of $52,400 followed by $48,800 for blacks and $47,300 for Hispanics.
