
A school principal confirms an Asian American middle school student was racially harassed by several men in a neighborhood plastered with flyers from White supremacists.
It happened in Portland, Oregon near Hosford Middle School, reports Raw Story.
Oregon Live reports several students witnessed the incident.
The child was standing at the bus stop when this occurred.
Extra school counselors have been assigned to the school through the end of the school year.
“It’s horrible, and that’s what I told my son,” Carmen Orellana, the mom of one of the students who witnessed the attack, told. KGW. “We have to protect our kids. I mean, it kind of bothered me that there were adults around and nobody intervened.”
Earlier this week, organizers of the multi-cultural fair Good in the Hood, received a threatening letter which included the N word.
Last month a Neo-Nazi was arrested in Portland and charged in the stabbing of two men who were trying to protect a Muslim American girl and another from harassment.
