Followers of You Tube sensation and fashion vlogger Laura Lee are leaving her by the tens of thousands after racist tweets from her surfaced, reports Vox.
In the past 30 days, Lee has lost 500,000 of her five million followers.
It happened after a tweet with the hashtag #dumbgook surfaced from 2012 in which she wrote “How do you blindfold a Chinese person? Put floss over their eyes!”
The tweets have been deleted, but Next Shark recently published screen grabs which still haunt the now tearfully apologetic Lee.
Two anti-Black tweets also surfaced from the same year.
Everything came crashing down, according to Vox, after she severed her relationship with beauty executive and former ally Jeffree Star.
Whether the damage is repairable and fans deem her apology sincere remains to be seen. Several sponsors have already dropped Lee including ColourPop, Ulta, BoxyCharm and Morphe, according to Revelist.
