The New York Asian Film Foundation has recently announced that it will be holding its first ever winter showcase, Korean Asian Media reports.
The New York Asian Film Festival is known as “the first North American film festival to champion the works of Johnnie To, Bong Joon-ho, Park Chan-wook, Takashi Miike, and other auteurs of contemporary Asian cinema.”
Taking place from February 1-3 and February 8-10, the festival will be following a “Crazy Broke Asians” theme, referencing the blockbuster hit film Crazy Rich Asians.
Korean actress Han Ji-Min is also set to be the Inaugural Ambassador for the winter showcase.
The New York Asian Film Festival normally has a festival in the summer, which it will also do this year for the 18th time.
The lineup for the festival includes films such as Ms. Baek, staring ambassador Han Ji-Min, 100 Yen Love, and The Secret Screening, according to Asian Movie Pulse.
