Lilly Singh landed a new prime time sketch comedy series on NBC, reports Variety.
NBC ordered two episodes of Sketchy Times With Lilly Singh, which will feature sketches and musical parodies.
Singh, who also hosts NBC’s late-night series A Little Late With Lilly Singh, will portray every character in the sketches, much like the sketches she performed when she first rose to fame on YouTube.
“Ten years ago, I started playing every character in my sketches because my friends were all ‘stop annoying us to be a part of your skits,’” Singh said. “With Sketchy Times, I’m going to play every character because me, myself and I have been training for this moment.”
According to Deadline, the sketches will satirize the “new normal” during the COVID-19 pandemic. The series will be filmed at Singh’s home with minimal crew with enforced safety protocols.
