A leader in Buffalo’s Indian American community is coming out in support of a gym customer called a “filthy, foreign Third-World country piece of (expletive)” by its owner, reports the Buffalo News.
“This was horrible,” said Sibu Nair who said the customer wants to remain anonymous, but reached out to her for help.
The owner of Athletes Unleashed in Orchard gained national notoriety when he held a protest against COVID-restrictions and later ripped up a notice of violation and a $15,000 fine on Fox News.
Gym owner Robert Dinero declined an opportunity from the Buffalo News to rebuff the claim of racism, but said he did nothing wrong.
“This is completely out of context, and she is being disingenuous. Any of these accusations is disingenous,” he said.
Earlier this week, Dinero organized a gathering of up to 50 business owners and supporters at his gym. A health inspector arrived shortly after with sheriff deputies to notify him of a COVID-safety violation for having more than 10 people for a non-essential gathering. However, they quickly left after the crowd accused them of trespassing and screamed that they get out. A video of the incident went viral, according to WRGZ.
A Go Fund Me account has been set up to help Dinero pay his fine and to support his business.
The customer who received the racist email wrote Dinero asking for a refund after an event at the gym had to be canceled. Dinero refunded the $395, but also sent the offensive and profanity laced email.
Nair says the customer is ‘very scared” by all the support Dinero is getting.
County Legislature Minority Leader Joseph Lorigo joined those protesting the fine, but also sent out a tweet condemning Dinero for his email.

What do expect from a Trump loving idiot? When they cancel his business license and start finding all manner of violations in his business then he will understand.
