The co-owner of a convenience store shot in a robbery at his market in Central Florida died Thursday, just days after his wife died in the same incident.
The Orlando Sentinel reports doctors at Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford pronounced Khiem Ba Trinh, 56, dead.
“Whoever did this doesn’t know what he did to this community,” said one store customer to the Daily Commercial.
No description of the suspects has been released.
The Crimeline increased the reward offered in the case from $1,000 to $10,000 after the second death.
A Go Fund Me page set up for funeral expenses for the couple has raised $30,000 so far.
“I’d like to thank everyone for every penny that had been donated to my cousins. My family and I did not expect all of this love and support from everywhere,” organizer Christina Nguyen said.
