Korean American superhero Silk coming to Amazon Prime

The Korean American Spiderman spinoff Silk is being developed for Amazon Prime, reports Playlist.

Silk features alter-ego Cindy Moon, who like Peter Parker, is bitten by a spider and develops superhero powers.

According to Deadline,  Tom Spezialy will serve as executive producer of the series as part of his deal with Amazon Studios, along with Lauren Moon.

Moon is also credited with writing the TV-adaptation of the comic book superhero.

Silk first appeared in 2014 in Marvel Comics’ The Amazing Spider-Man #1. She later got a five-issue limited series. Writer Maruene Goo and artist Takeshi Miyazawa were behind an on-going Silk series which debut in March of this year.
