Two Asian Am announcers work national baseball game

Two Asian American announcers worked a recent game between the Cincinnati Reds and Milwaukee Brewers, becoming perhaps the first Asian Americans ever to work a national game together.

Vietnamese-born Baseball analyst Danny Graves pitched for Cleveland, Cincinnati and the NY Mets for 10 years from 1996 until 2006. Graves worked the game streamed live on YouTube on Friday, July 9th with Stephen Nelson who is Japanese American.

We qualified this and called Nelson and Graves perhaps the first Asian Americans to work a game together because with so many outlets, it’s difficult to know for sure.

If you know of another Asian American announcer pairing, let us know.
