Police now suspect foul play was involved in the disappearance of 24-year-old Alexis Gabe, ABC 7 reports.

“We believe Alexis’ disappearance was not by accident or by choice,” Oakley Police Detective Tyler Horn, said according to KHRON 4. “We strongly suspect foul play and we seek the public’s assistance in locating Alexis.”

Gabe left her home on January 26 and did not return. Her family reported her missing the next day.

She was reportedly last seen at her ex-boyfriend’s house. Her car was found a day after her disappearance with the keys still in the ignition. Police questioned her ex-boyfriend multiple times but would not say whether he was a suspect in the case.

Police have now identified a person of interest through surveillance footage. The footage they released shows a man walking, ABC 7 reports. He is believed to be about 5-foot, 11 inches to 6 feet tall, with a slim build and dark skin. He also has a beard.

In the footage, the man is wearing a beanie, a large jacket and an n95 mask. Police are asking for the public’s help finding Alexis. They are offering a $10,000 reward for anyone with information, KHRON 4 reports.

“We are pleading to whomever has information regarding Alexis’ disappearance to please come forward. please give Alexis the chance to be the person she is meant to be in this world,” said her father, Gwyn Gabe, according to ABC 7.
