The man accused of killing his wife during their honeymoon in Fiji claims her death was an accident.
Bradley Robert Dawson’s wife Christie Chen Dawson was found dead in their Fiji hotel room on July 9. Authorities charged the husband, who is from Memphis, with murdering his wife. He was being held without bail.
According to the Daily Mail, a post-mortem examination revealed that Chen Dawson had multiple traumatic injuries to her body, and blunt force trauma to the head.
Chen Dawson worked as a pharmacist in the Memphis area and graduated from the University of Tennessee. According to the Daily Mail, she married Dawson in February, just three months after they met. Her parents also paid for the honeymoon.
Dawson’s attorney maintains that his client is innocent and claims Chen Dawson’s death was an accident, The New York Post reports.
