A woman has been arrested for allegedly assaulting an 89-year-old man in Vancouver’s Chinatown.
According to The Indo-Canadian Voice, the man was walking near Main and Keefer streets around 10:45 a.m. on Saturday when a woman he didn’t know shoved him to the ground. He suffered cuts and scrapes.
Police arrested 58-year-old Patricia MacDonald shortly after the attack, Vancouver is Awesome reports. They believe the attack was unprovoked.
“Officers were patrolling the area at the time of the attack, and quickly responded to help the injured senior and arrest the suspect,” police said in the press release, according to Vancouver is Awesome.
