Streaming service Peacock announced the release of a documentary series investigating the murder of Chinese American attorney Robert Wone in 2006. 

“Who Killed Robert Wone?” is slated to be released on March 7, 2023. It follows the unsolved murder of Wone who was found stabbed to death in his D.C. home in August 2006. 

The series explores the night of Wone’s death, where his roommate Victor Zaborsky called emergency services to report an unknown intruder stabbing Wone at his home shared with Joe Price and Dylan Ward, Deadline reported.

The attorney was found dead in the guest room, but there were no signs of struggle or robbery, leading to suspicions against the roommates.

“The case of Robert Wone’s is a story that most crime fans may have never heard of, but once they do, they won’t stop talking about it.,” senior vice president at NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, Stephanie Steele said. 

“Through interviews with those closest to the case and friends of Robert’s who knew him well, Who Killed Robert Wone? looks to give the Peacock audience insight into one of the most mysterious murder cases of the 2000s and explore the bizarre events of what happened on that fateful night.” 

The two-part docu-series was developed from an Audible podcast that looked into the details of the crime and Wone’s relationship with his three roommates, who were accused of obstruction of justice and conspiracy but acquitted of the murder charges. 

“Who Killed Robert Wone?” is directed Jared P. Scott and produced by Jupiter Entertainment. 

“This is a crime like no other,” president of Jupiter Entertainment Patrick Reardon said. “With more questions than answers, we hope this series will bring new life to a story that has perplexed the Washington D.C. community for years.”
