Simu Liu has announced the release of his debut Anxious-Avoidant, which features a song written by Joe Jonas, Deadline reports.
The EP features a four-song tracklist: “Warm,” “Break My Heart,” “If It’s Time” and “Don’t.” “Break My Heart” was co-written by Joe Jonas.
Liu has been slowly building his music career over the past few years. In 2022, he shocked fans with a parody of Avril Lavigne’s “Complicated” at the Juno Awards. A year later he played a full Avril Lavigne medley at the same awards show.
In an Instagram post, Liu described the meaning behind the music in Anxious-Avoidant.
“rom love and sex to heartbreak and depression, these songs all speak to my personal experiences navigating through life. i hope you’ll all give it a listen this friday, and of course, am always grateful beyond words for everyone that has been a part of my artistic journey,” Liu wrote.
