If your New Year’s resolution is to get a new job, then check out a survey of Asian American federal employees from Best Places to Work.
Federal agencies are ranked by their employees, according to job satisfaction. You can get a break down of Asian American employees and other demographics by gender, age and ethnicity.
There’s even a survey of disabled employees and of military veterans.
According to the survey of Asian Americans, the best place by far to work in the federal government in the large federal agency category is the Department of Commerce with a satisfaction score of 82.7. (former Commerce Secretary Gary Locke is pictured with leaders of Museum of Chinese in America)
That’s five points higher than NASA which comes in second with a score of 77 and 11 points higher than third place Dept of Treasury with a score of 71.
In the medium sized agency category, the top three are the Federal Trade Commission, Federal Communications Commission and Nuclear Regulatory Commission. All scored in the 80’s.
You can see the complete rankings in Best Places to Work. Happy job hunting.
RE: Best Federal agencies for Asian Americans to work: With Gary Locke leaving his post in Beijing, I wonder if Dept. of Commerce is still the best place for Asian Americans. Have reason to believe that Locke may have offered jobs to Asian Americans during the time period of the 2010 census.
