ABC has announced its picking up the new series Quantico starring Bollywood sensation Priyanka Chopra for the full season.
The network ordered six new episodes bringing the total for season one to 19.
Quantico is the only series on broadcast television this season starring a South Asian. It features Chopra as an FBI agent who is suspected of a terrorist incident. She spends her time both running from the law while simultaneously trying to investigate the crime to prove her innocence.
It’s the number one rated broadcast program on Sunday nights.
This is Chopra’s biggest shot at stardom in the United States. She has been trying for several years to expand her star power from India for several years with mixed results.
