Red 94: “I Don’t Think There’s Anyone Better than Lin.” @Jlin7

Jeremy LinWith Dwight Howard  saying he intends to sign with the Houston Rockets as early as Wednesday, the attention now turns to what will the Houston Rockets do with Jeremy Lin.

Many have predicted Lin will be traded away. But the editor of Red 94.Net , a blog devoted to covering the Rockets, suggests Lin is the Rockets’ best choice to man the point guard position.

“Towards the end of the year he was shooting 41 percent on threes and that’s exactly what you need from that spot, said editor Rahat Huq to ESPN radio.  “He cut his turnovers down by about 30 percent.”

Huq has looked at the alternatives in the market and doesn’t think Houston has another choice.

“I think that just looking at the alternatives on the market I think even if you want to upgrade that position, I don’t think there’s anyone better than Lin,”  said Huq

While that sounds like a backhanded compliment, Huq goes on to state Lin has a great upside.

“I think at the end of the day talent trumps all. Once talent is undeniable, despite what his critics say, talent is undeniable.”

You can hear ESPN Radio’s entire interview with Huq along with his thoughts on Patrick Beverley in Red 94.Net.
