Huffington Post: What if Disney Princesses Were #Asian American?

Disney CastleTake a trip to Disneyland and you’ll see little girls of all nationalities running around in their favorite Disney Princess outfits.

The reality is very few princesses paraded up mainstream in the latest parades or posing for pictures with adoring fans are Asian Americans or any other nationality other than white.

Kim Navoa thought its never too late. So the 22-year old Filipino American took various images of Asian Americans as Disney princesses, reported the Huffington Post.

“How are young APIA children supposed to believe in “happy endings” when we don’t see them happening to people who look like us?” Navoa wrote in her blog post.

After all, isn’t Disney the place where “dreams come true.”
