Vandals targeted a meditation center in Denver last Thursday night. TheDenverChannel.com reports that vandals broke large slabs of brick and stole a 60-pound lion statue that had been at the center for generations.
According to Steven Roussel, a student and resident of the Kadampa Meditation Center, this crime does not just hurt the Buddhist students at the center. “The temple is dedicated to benefit from all living beings in the world,” said Roussel, “So, it’s not just stealing from us, they stole from every living being.”
Members of the center have reported the crime to the police and contacted their insurance company.
