When the staff at the New School for Design received a demand notice for payment of a $784 ambulance ride, they didn’t quite know what to do with it, reports the New York Post.
The letter was simply addressed to “Unknown Asian.”
Should they give it to the two Asian Americans who happen to work in the dean’s office.?
Should they give it to the countless Asian Americans enrolled at the school?
“We’ll just go down the hall and ask every Asian student if they needed medical assistance,” said one office assistant.
So how did a bill get addressed to an “Unknown Asian?”
The FDNY is admitting it was a mistake.
