Sometimes you should follow the letter of the law and sometimes common sense should prevail.
A court in New York decided that common sense is the better path to follow when it threw out charges against a Chinese American vendor for selling without a license even though her invalid husband right beside her was licensed, reports My Fox NY.
Chun Yin had been arrested 11 times for selling trinkets on the street with her husband.
If she can stay out of trouble for six months, all charges will be erased from her record.
This case could lead to changes in the law.
