Students and faculty in the field of Asian American Studies now have a place where they can get together and share their thoughts at Harvard, reports the Harvard Crimson.
The Asian American Studies working group was launched by the Committee on Ethnicity, Migration, and Rights and is the first such group on campus devoted to Asian American Studies.
“Now instead of having one event in Asian American studies that our office puts on each year, there will be six meetings per year, and it will give folks interested in Asian American studies a place to connect,” said Tessa Lowinske Desmond, the academic adviser for EMR.
For students, its an opportunity to delve more deeply into their field of study.
