Investigators are looking for a person of interest in connection with the murder of a cook at a Philadelphia Vietnamese restaurant, reports the local Fox news station.
The victim, 54-year-old Thoung Nguyen, was found stabbed to death in the kitchen of Lee’s Cafe & Bistro. Nguyen was employed at the restaurant as a cook. According to preliminary reports, she was preparing food with another employee who goes by the name of “Noelle”, a 25-30 year-old male. Nguyen was soon afterwards found alone, her throat slashed.
Neighbors living on Nguyen’s block in South Philadelphia expressed shock and sadness at the news of her death, Philly.com reports. According to her neighbors, she lived with an adult son. They thought that she lived with a husband or a second son, too.
“She was quiet, she stayed to herself,” said Eartha Ervin, 46, who has lived on the block for about three years. “She spoke when she saw you.”
Police say they are currently on the lookout for “Noelle”.
