Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), the first Indian American to serve in the Senate, called President Trump’s plans for a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border “a stupid use of money” during a town hall in Los Angeles on Friday, reports The Hill.
Trump’s border wall is just a stupid use of money. I will block any funding for it.

Earlier on Friday, Trump’s budget chief Mick Mulvaney stated that the White House was asking Democrats to help fund Trump’s border wall; in return, Democrats will get money for key Obamacare payments, an offer of $1 in insurance company reimbursements per $1 in funding for the wall.

Harris was also asked about U.S. involvement in the war in Syria, saying, “I’m absolutely opposed to boots on the ground in Syria,” reports Los Angeles Times.
Harris has been quite popular for her liberal stances, as opposed to Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), who has been under fire recently by anti-Trump activists for her more moderate positions on issues.
