A high school basketball player who collapsed on the court and died has been granted her final wish by NBA all star Steph Curry.

Sophomore Kimberly Nuestro fell and hit her head on the basketball court while playing for Homestead High in Cupertino, California, reported ABC7 News.

She continued playing, but later collapsed.

Her family used social media to contact Golden State Warrior Steph Curry to let him know that one of her biggest dreams was to have him autograph her basketball shoes.

He agreed.

“I wish I could have met her before she passed. But this is a small token for her family, to I guess know that there’s a lot of people thinking about them,” Curry said.

“I know a lot of the kids are pretty excited about it,” said Greg Giglio, the school principal, to the San Francisco Chronicle, about Curry’s gesture.

“She was a very good student. Her teachers have nothing but fond, sweet memories of her.”
