Actor and comedian Kumail Nanjiani is reportedly in talks to star in Marvel’s upcoming film TheEternals, AVClub reports.
If Nanjiani does star in the in upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, he will be the first Pakistani American actor in a Marvel and also “in this scale of an action film ever,” CinemaBlend reports.
Marvel has been reported to be focusing on diversity as they move forward, which can be seen in films such as Black Panther and Captain Marvel.
Many will recognize Kumail Nanjiani from the television comedy Silicon Valley and the film The Big Sick, which he co-wrote with his wife Emily Gordon. Nanjiani’s other credits include recently starring in the pilot episode of Jordan Peele’s The Twilight Zone titled “The Comedian.” He is also set to have a voice role in the upcoming Men In Black film.
