Constance Wu will star in a new movie based on a touching novel by Rachel Kwong, Goodbye, Vitamin, reports Variety.

Wu will play Ruth Young, who comes home after she learns her father has lost his job as a history professor after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Young plots with one of her father’s former students to stage a fake class her father can teach.

The movie has been optioned by Universal Pictures. EW named Goodbye, Vitamin one of the best novels of 2017. It also received rave reviews from NPR, Oprah Magazine, Esquire and Buzzfeed.

Wu this fall will return to co-star in the sixth season of Fresh Off the Boat. Her movie career is also taking off after the box office success of Crazy Rich Asians. She will also co-star with Jennifer Lopez and Cardi B in Hustlers.

No release date for Goodbye, Vitamin has been announced.
